Must watch: Keisha Lance Bottoms breaks down Rick Jackson’s nearly $1B in Georgia contracts

Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms is breaking down the nearly $1 billion in Georgia state business tied to companies owned by her Republican opponent for governor, health care executive Rick Jackson. Much of that money came during the COVID-19 pandemic, when Jackson Healthcare received a no-bid emergency contract to provide doctors, nurses and other medical staff across the state. Bottoms argues those contracts deserve more scrutiny as Jackson campaigns to run the same state his companies do business with. Jackson has said he would end his companiesโ€™ state contracts if elected, though one was recently extended through June 2027. He has since said his companies would have no state contracts by the end of 2027.
