Former ICE attorney and academy instructor Ryan Schwank says the agency cut roughly 240 hours from its training program as it rushed new officers into the field. Schwank testified that the cuts included lessons on constitutional rights, lawful arrests, firearms and the use of force, along with practical tests meant to show whether recruits could safely handle real-world situations.
