An Atlanta supporter became emotional while thanking former Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms, specifically pointing to the LGBTQ Advisory Board Bottoms created after taking office. Bottoms established Atlanta’s first LGBTQ Advisory Board in 2018 and appointed the city’s first full-time LGBTQ Affairs Coordinator. Her administration also expanded access to PrEP, added anti-bullying protections in city youth programs and funded local organizations providing services including housing for transgender residents.
