Georgia resident tells regulators what it’s really like living next to a data center


Young Democrats of Georgia Member of the Year Jonathan Bonner spoke before the Georgia Public Service Commission about his firsthand experience living near a data center, describing the effects the facility has had on him and his surrounding community. Georgia regulators are facing growing scrutiny over the stateโ€™s rapid data center expansion and the enormous amount of electricity the facilities require. The PSC is currently weighing multiple data center-related issues, while Georgia Power has sought approval for major new power commitments tied to data centers.
