Candidate Keisha Sean Waites grills Georgia’s insurance chief over denied claims

Democratic insurance commissioner candidate Keisha Sean Waites used Georgia’s statewide debate to go after Republican incumbent John King’s record, arguing that too many Georgians have felt “left behind and ignored” when dealing with insurance denials and delays. Waites also questioned King’s decision to return to the race for insurance commissioner after ending his 2025 U.S. Senate campaign. King is seeking another term as Georgia’s Insurance and Safety Fire Commissioner, while Waites is challenging him in the Nov. 3 election.
