Sen. Jon Ossoff warned that a child born in the state now has a lower life expectancy than one born in Lebanon, despite Georgia’s economy being roughly 40 times larger. Ossoff blamed years of decisions by Gov. Brian Kemp and Republican state lawmakers, arguing that Georgia has the resources to improve health care access but has chosen not to use them.
